Christmas is a wonderful time of year. Hopefully you will spend lots of quality time with your family and friends, and with your pets as well. Often, our vets get asked if it is a good time to get a new pet. The answer is, it depends. Giving a kitten or puppy is fine, as long as you know for sure that the person wants a pet, and is committed to providing the proper care for the life of the pet. Also keep in mind that if you buy a kitten or a puppy for your children, you will be the one responsible for its feeding, health and well-being.
