Remember that your car can become an oven very quickly in the summer heat. Dogs have a limited ability to sweat and even a short time in a hot environment can become life-threatening. Parked cars can quickly reach deadly temperatures,
even on relatively mild days with the car parked in the shade and the windows slightly open. If you can’t take your dog with you when you leave your car, leave them at home.
